| One of the finest examples that you will find, complete with the copper box, of a Longine 14K gold watch out there. It's 17 Jewel, 8LN Swiss movement, with a 6 position heat adjustable movement, number 7249660, case 980422. Looks to be an absolutely beautiful black dial (extraordinarily difficult to photograph well). Has a new crocodile band. The lugs are both columned and dropped which gives the watch a very expensive look, and typical of the 1945 time period. However, the gold is not typical. The Longine case proudly displays the original logo, "The World's Most Honored Watch." The inside of the box is red velour, in near mint condition. Look no further if you're looking for a 14K gold Longine from the 40s. |
