Manufacture Girard-Perregaux La Chaux-de-Fonds Suisse. 3000 Suisse. Thirty-two. 32 Jewels. These are the words on the movement. On the back plate "Girard-Perregaux 1791 Swiss." I've seen a lot of movements. Girard-Perregaux as you can see from above built this movement. This is not normal today. Few companies (Patek, Rolex, Girard) are still their own. How about history since 1791. The machining on the case back, machining on the movement, are just unbelievable. The back of the watch is waterproof and is screwed by 6 screws. Never seen a back screwed down by machine screws. You can tell I love this watch. The initials of the man who built it are inside the watch. It is a large tank with just a stunningly beautiful dial. They are a limited production. The gold on the front is 18Kt as well as applied Gold markers and hands. Unique second hand at 6 because of the inset square case. The watch has original price of $4250.00 and can be purchased in Europe for $4600.00. The plastic is still on the back, and it has the hang tag, box, and books. You could not get any better or a more beautiful tank watch. |
