Probably the most unique LeCoultre I've owned. Listed in "Complete Price Guide To Watches" 2010. It is on page 890. I usually look at prices in this book as a wholesale guide. In my opinion, it is truly just a guide. This watch is 14Kt, but it is very much a pink gold. It is rare to see pink gold nowadays, or an elegant watch of this quality. The black dial makes it more collectible. The watch is in excellent condition. The 480 movement is a high grade 17 jewel movement. It is one of the best movements LeCoultre produced. Actually, Vacheron Constantin (VXN) produced the fabulous movement. The case back is stamped "Timed in the U.S.A. by LeCoultre, 14K," case number 51035. The 480 movement is numbered 737414. The design is truly unique with the hidden crown, fancy bezel and lugs. The dial shows minor patina, but is uniform and would not be noted. Hands are original with unusual second hand at 6 o'clock. Very, very unusual piece and because it is a documented piece, will continue to be highly collectible. |
