This is a red and black date watch. Even numbers are red, and odd are black. I've never seen one like that. The watch has just been serviced and is in perfect mechanical condition. Comes with verification from an authorized Rolex dealer. The model is 6494, with serial number of 305,535. Very low after the turnover and is is marked III 57 on the case back. The watch is just in superb condition with the original white dial that has a small mark around the 6 (not very noticeable unless one just stares at it). Highly unusual flat case back, which is original to the watch. The steel case is excellent with just some minor scratches on the back. Screw down original crown has lots of thread, which indicates the watch hasn't been used much. If you're looking for a vintage 57 with red and black date, just freshly serviced, I would consider this watch. I tell people, but they don't listen....service is key to Rolex and it starts at about $400 and goes up from there. |
