Possibly the best out there. All original, 1948, triple date, double register, pink gold filled case. CAL 217-just extensively rebuilt to the tune of $600. Has the original satin dial that is the best I've seen, and again, all original. Hands and markers are good and unquestionably beautiful. Red tipped day marker is matching and completes the dial set. Both the day and the month are black and in mint condition. Signed Swiss below the 6 o'clock marker. The rate for the chronometer and the second hand are black. Exceptional in every way. The 14 Lignes, Cal 217 movement is completely overhauled with screw balance and Brequet hairspring (just like a high end Rolex). There are two watchmaker scratches on the back, otherwise the case is beautiful. This huge watch is just gorgeous. |
