I hate to sell this watch. Completely original and the first Submariner certified as a chronometer. Better than new! Case is just amazing with pure numbers, easy to read between the lugs. Unpolished case, unbelievable bezel with engine edges in excellent condition. This makes the watch. The width on the lugs tell me that it has not been used. A certified/authorized Rolex repair specialist did the following to the watch: it has a Rolex crystal, triple loc crown and tube, authentic dial SCOC by Rolex, new hands. You just won't find a more comprehensive, authentic, Rolex all the way, watch. 5512 had only 1560 movements and were made from 1959 to the early 1970s. Per "Vintage Rolex Sports Models," by Schiffer, very muchin the league of the 5508 for collectibility. Movement has been serviced and is ready to wear. Do you know how hard it is to keep the numbers between the lugs clear and readable after III 1965? More than difficult. The back plate say III65. Serial number is 1316857, reference 5512, movement number is very low 91,612 and is a correct 1560. Rare indeed. No, I'm not finished. Band is the old B200 style, like Jubilee, and is original and so is the clasp. The dial is virtually new and very clear with excellent lumination. Rare bird indeed. |
