If you are a collector, then you know, or need to know, what you're buying and why. With an astronaut, you need the right movement. It should be an "HN214." This identifies that it is an astronaut. Second, it should have a hack movement that works. This means when you stop the watch to set it, the second hand stops and waits until you engage the watch again. The movement should be within 1 year of the watch. So if the watch is a 1966, the movement should be a '65 or '66. The watch should have a fourth hand for GMT time. Now at this point, you have an astronaut. This watch has the highly collectible 14Kt gold bezel and original Bullet, gold filled band. The band is in good condition considering the age of the watch. The champagne dial has patina at 2 o'clock and is the only visible imperfection on the watch. Bezel is excellent and so is the clasp. Comes with original inner and outer boxes and a fresh battery. |
