My last one. First, what is a yellow dot and what should you look for as a collector? Well, it was only made in 1963 (M3 on the watch). The case must be what is known as a turtle lug (drop lug on each side). Then it must have a two wire coil (they did not make the three wire until 1965). Then, to be real, there can be no yellow paint in the very center of the second hand (lots of those on eBay). The other key is the crystal. The condition must be exceptional with all the yellow dots and symbol in place. This watch belonged to a watchmaker in Flushing, New York. It has a very early movement and keeps good time. The battery is easy to find (587 is very standard). Please look at the back of the case. Isn't it beautiful with the original factory finish? This is a 48 year old watch. You will not find another one that is original and complete with the original boxes. |
