The Vulcain Cricket is a famous and historical watch. Known as "The Watch for Presidents," as it was worn by several. Truman was the first, but later Carter and Clinton wore this kind of watch. In 1947, Vulcain created the first genuinely functional mechanical alarm wristwatch. A historical event. Today, the company makes replicas of this watch. You could not find a better representative than this restored alarm watch. The dial has one speck between the 8 and 9 toward the middle. That's it, even though the dial is unrestored and original. The alarm works perfectly. A fine representation of a historic time piece. I liked it so much, I put a new alligator band on it at a cost of $150. |
