A rare, rare beautiful complicated collector piece. I've had 2 in 35 years. Very hard to find and even harder in excellent condition. I just had a watchmaker far more talented than me go completely through the watch. It's in great shape for many years to come now. It is the LeCoultre 486 movement with 17 jewels. The movement is clean, oiled and serviced. The dial has beautiful blue hands with red tip on the day marker for the triple date. Two windows display the day and month. At the 6 o'clock is the moon phase. All features are in mint condition. The dial does have some patina, but is still very beautiful. The case on all of these was very heavy gold fill. The case is in excellent shape. Although one can wear this watch, it is truly a rare collector piece that will continue to appreciate over time. |
