My wife said don't sell this one. Never had a nicer Submariner. I's a 1996 and mint. Two things you look for; the band and the movement. First the band. Today, you will pay $3000 for and Italian band. Well, maybe there's a third, the condition of the watch. A fourth thing, documentation. A fifth thing, service records. Ok. This watch is a one owner purchased in New Orleans, 8-9-97. Serial number T677xxx, which means 1996. Band is as tight as new with 2 extra links. The bezel does not have any scratches. Comes with all boxes, books, warranty certification, and bill of sale. Complete. Sapphire crystal and quick set. Serviced last 11-15-07 and placed in a safe. Will not need service for 6 or 7 years. The 16613 has been discontinued. The new 116613, to me, is not the same. Some say it's better, but I like the 16613 for the look. The 3135 movement is impressive and should last a lifetime. Before it was discontinued, it cost $9300 new. The next collector piece. You will not find one better or with more history. This is the complete package. |
