Unique, mid transition beats per minute watch. Previous to this watch the standard beat was 18,000 per minute, this watch is 21,500 beats per minute. The higher the beat, the higher the accuracy. The watch also has a unique cyclops date. It's larger than most and extremely easy to read. The combination of these features alone make this an extremely desirable and collectible watch, however when you add a recent overhaul (and I will guarantee this watch for two years), along with the Rolex box and original band, you have a collector's dream. In the 70s Rolex changed the movement. Even the later presidential watches do not have the 30 jewel movement of this watch. *Many of the watches listed on collectorvintagewatches.com include "waterproof" or "water resistant" in their descriptions.
