Far exceeds the pictures and is very rare due to the year, even more so because of the condition. The serial number 381,xxx dates this watch to 1945. It is difficult to imagine in 1945 in Europe, during World War ll, that this watch was even produced, much less in rose gold. The screw down crown is original, and the visible Rolex Oyster is extremely clear along with the Swiss cross (making it waterproof at that time). With automatic movement (oyster perpetual), and chronometer certified with original gold dial this watch is rather unbelievable. The watch is heavy gold, beautiful beyond the ordinary, truly an astoundingly fine Rolex Bubble back. I have worn the watch several times and the glow of the watch always brings comments (the mint dial and rose gold just–I can’t express). The watch has minor aging on the dial, several very small scratches. It comes with a prestigious Hirsch cognac crocodile band with little wear. The serial number and the model number are very, very clear and easy to read. Exceptional, collectible, very rare and wearable for your enjoyment.
