| This is a museum quality Rolex. Under a microscope the Rolex crown, which is large, was hand painted on this dial. I can't tell if the dial has been redone, but it doesn't look like it. 1931 was the year that Rolex introduced the self-winding movement. This watch however, is not one. But the counting in most major catologs start at 1925 with serial number 25000. The serial number on this watch is 041838. One of the earliest serial numbers that I've ever seen in a wrist watch. The watch is in mint condition with dropped lugs. Comes with a brand new lizard band. A beautiful addition to anyone's collection. |
